Cartography in Comics

I saw this initially over at Boing Boing but it's worthy of a repost. A site called Comic Book Cartography posts wonderful, brightly colored maps and diagrams of imaginary places (and more) found in comics. Here's a few samples (click to view larger):
Have a look at some high-res versions for yourself...

Not bad but you focused on Marvel, leaving out some of the best comic book cartography available.

DC has entire fictional cities like Metropolis, Gotham and Star City, planets like War World and Apokolips and bases like the JLA Watchtower, the Hall of Justice and my personal favorite, The Legion of Superheroes' Sphinx/White Base like headquarters from the late seventies and early eighties.

BA, yes, I focused on Marvel, but I chose the ones I did for particular reasons:
1. I'm first and foremost an Avengers fan!
2. I picked a few Kirby pics as it's been on my mind of late

No slight intended at all. In fact the Comic Book Cartography site already has great images of the Fortress of Solitude and several of the Batcave that I think are fantastic.

The blog looks fairly new and I didn't want to pilfer all the images! You'll love it though, you should definitely check it out.
